From there, fragrance and materials are pushed into new territory, reimagined through deep craftsmanship, creative instinct and an obsession with the unexpected. New Zealand-born founder of LAB Atelier Brands, Gilbertson’s unconventional creative career has moved between art, fashion, fragrance, beauty and technology.
His vision for MÁNO × MNRL is to bring those worlds together — creating a House of immense creative depth and purpose where artistic freedom and a radically more considered approach to fragrance can coexist.
Taika Waititi
Creative Co-Founder
Academy Award-winning New Zealand filmmaker, writer and storyteller Taika Waititi is renowned for creating distinctive characters and worlds through film, television, performance and art.
His approach to character, emotion and storytelling brings a natural creative crossover to MÁNO × MNRL and its exploration of fragrance as another form of world-building.

A London-based creative leader and brand strategist with more than 25 years of British fashion, apparel, fragrance, and art experience.
Richards has served as Creative and Design Director for iconic brands and brings an instinct for creative direction, craft, materiality and luxury - helping transform bold creative ideas into beautifully realised products and experiences.
